Thoughts

He certainly was 8 inches taller than the rest of us… I couldn’t reach the washing line he put up for me 😂😂 he was a gem that will stay in all of our hearts ♥️ we love you John xx

My cousin.... What can I say, running around 74 Hadrian Avenue and pretending Uncle Jim was calling John to do the washing up. John would put his head up round the pear tree. Caught. He stayed with us often in Great Barford as a young boy with his fishing rods and would fish away under the bridge. But then he grew, and grew and grew. Rest easy Cousin dear. We will always remember you with the kindest of thoughts.

although being 8 inches taller than me he always introduced me as his big brother, I have so many good memories growing up with him and Peter. They got up to all kinds of mischief, knowing I would come up with excuses. It worked most times, except when I turned the radio off by cutting the electric cord and we all got a slippered back side. John loved fishing and not many people know he was fishing the canal all night and watched the great train robbery take place on the bridge above him in 1963. When he fitted kitchens with me he would fish all night, come for a day's work and go back and fish all night again. I am going to miss him and our phone conversations, and so will his local office, we will make one last visit there I know. rest now little bro xx
